We had a fun visit today from Sweet Lilac's Slaves. We found out what was in the HUGE parcel that they had sent us - ooh, loads of bright and tickly wands and the box was brilliant to play in and chew! Oooh we had a wonderful afternoon, and by the time it got to bedtime, we were ready (for once)!

22nd August 2011.

The afternoon siesta.

In the evening Slave surprised us, she gave us a strange new toy. For once, the toy was infinitely more interesting than its box! With all the grown-ups there, it was us who were the only ones brave enough to explore it to start with!

This is supposed to be the quiet time, but occasionally there is someone who gets the fidgets.

Finding anybody who is willing to play with you is hard.

If anyone said the magic word "Food", even ever so quietly, they would be awake and up in an instant, but "Please come and play" doesn't seem to work.

Well, Kori's not playing. Eli? Ignoring me.

21st August 2011.

Today's mission for Sweet Lilac is not only to squeeze every gram of fun out of each minute, but to make sure that everyone knows she is here!

By evening everyone is showing off that they can leap and run right around even the highest shelves and climbers!

20th August 2011.

Well, everyone slept through yesterday! It was really strange. Normal afternoon nap is one thing, but the "dead to the world" of yesterday was spooky! They were still like it at midnight!

This morning, however, we woke to an utterly different family! Gene, surrounded by happy kittens, gently washing them ... which means that she approves of them at last. The skies are gloomy, but the youngsters at least have some energy today!

The three boys now tend to play together, and here they are settling for their afternoon nap on the beanbag. Sweet Lilac and the grown-ups join in, and the family settles into a companionable "Tonk Pile".

17th August 2011.

These two videos are of last night's bedtime play on the sofa. We love games like ambush, hide and seek and pounce, and the climbing blanket on the sofa is purrfect!

Now, today is grey and raining, just right to watch the world go round, have a gentle game, then head for a drink at the Bar.

But Sweet Lilac got fidgetty and decided to challenge anyone who would respond. Kori was minding her own business until she came across that mischievous little Lilac!

Noah and the little lilac girl: there are some things that are just irresistible!

Then there are those times when one hardly dares to breathe, for fear of breaking the magic ... Tchai'ky and the little lilac girl.

9th August 2011.

We had a BIG parcel arrive today. We are going to open it tomorrow. Mee-oow, excitement!

This evening was the only time we all got together, so here we are, on the tall tree in the conservatory!

8th August 2011.

We are eight weeks old! The world seems to get bigger every day, and we are getting better (and braver!) at things, experts in some games and learning how to get our own way, or at least, we have a lot of fun trying!
