The G.C.C.F.
 |
This is the definitive site for the Cat Fancy : this is an encyclodaedia of information, help and advice - see the "Site Map" page!
Not just for those who breed or own pedigree cats, it is useful and interesting for any cat owner. For those looking for Pedigree Cats in particular, it gives you an excellent guide to what you can expect, what to look for and you can also get an idea of what I personally regard as the minimum standards to which Breeders should operate.
See the list on the left hand side of the page, which is a map of the site contents.

Companioncare Exeter
 |
Our Vets' Site . No words can adequately describe the welcoming and caring ethos of our Vet's surgery. Suffice to say that whenever one of our furfamily is going, there is a rush from everyone to get into the carrier to go as well!
It is a privilege to know Chris and each and every one of his wonderful staff. Their site introduces their Staff as real people, and also contains links to a tremendous database of animal health etc, ranging from cats to tarantulas! How often have we all wondered "Do I need to call the Vet?", well, that is just one page of helpful advice!
Nothing is too much trouble at this well loved Practice, and it has been good to see that Chris has received the Certificate of Nomination for The Vet of The Year for both 2009 and 2010! Well deserved. The staff are like a caring family group, and we would recommend the practice unreservedly to anyone.

Plastexe
 |
Without the amazing craftmanship and compassion of our friends at Plastexe , our beloved Geraldine's last months would have been unbearable. They made her a customised clear perspex nebuliser treatment box for her to be able to sit with everybody around, chatting to them or watching the television or us, whilst inhaling her nebulised medications.

The craftsmanship that they put in to her "box" equalled that of master cabinetmakers. It has now moved on and has already helped other wonderful cats, and long may it continue, in her memory. Contact me if this interests you. One day, hopefully, I will be able to write about her last year of life.

The Feline Advisory Bureau
 |
The FAB is a mine of extremely useful information concerned with the welfare of Cats, from general hints on the "cat friendly home" to specific lists of common dangerous substances in the home/garden/garage, including plants .
For example, I had no idea that clematis was poisonous, and we have it around our door ... leaves may get blown in, our clematis is now on the "to be destroyed" list!
Do take time now and then to browse the pages of this extremely readable encyclopaedic site!

NOAH
 |
This is the site for the National Office for Animal Health.
A vast source of detailed information, and I have personally found the "Compendium" section most useful for looking up contact details of drugs themselves, manufacturers, drug dosages, uses, contraindications etc.
